The International EITI Board in light of the difficult situation caused by the global Covid-19 pandemic recommended that the collection and dissemination of EITI reports be free of any health risks and that audits be performed flexibly. As of 2021, a total of 2,015 companies held 3,027 licenses, of which 1,591 submitted reports online. Mongolian EITI National Council endorsed the Mongolia EITI Reconciliation 2021 or 16th Report, which covered only 63 gold, coal and copper concentrate producers.
